Lumina is a pioneering smart infrastructure project aimed at optimizing urban energy consumption. DGN Digital engineered the central intelligence hub that orchestrates data from thousands of IoT nodes to define the future of sustainable, AI-driven cities.

Challenge

Managing low-latency data streams from a vast, decentralized network of sensors was the primary hurdle. We needed to ensure data integrity and real-time processing to allow for predictive energy adjustments that occur in fractions of a second, preventing urban maintenance cycles from falling behind.

Solution

We deployed a serverless AWS Lambda architecture triggered by high-speed MQTT protocols, ensuring near-instantaneous data ingestion. A custom 'Digital Twin' urban command center was built using 3D visualization to allow city managers to monitor energy flows in real-time. We implemented machine learning models that predict demand spikes and automatically adjust grid distribution to minimize waste.
